My favourite thing about working with a tablet and PS is the opportunity for fusion between traditional and digital media, especially when the end result doesn't appear to contain digital elements at first look.
This could be one of those "good and evil are subjective" statements, but...mostly, I just wanted to draw some naughty unicorns. Actually, this piece was so much fun that I went a little mad with inspiration and stayed up all night to finish it, even though the deadline isn't until Tuesday. Even if I don't end up winning anything, I had a blast doing this, so it was worth it. Thanks for giving me a reason to create it!
(I had the WoW soundtracks playing the whole time, too. Maybe that's why I'm so excited, haha...)
edit, 30 may: Whoa, thanks, guys!! I'm kind of flailing over here, gee whiz. (note: tremendous understatement)
Just to clarify, in case anyone is still wondering this was done primarily with traditional media, good and messy, just the way I like it! It's got watercolour, gouache, ink, some pencils and I can't remember what else, and then the digital stuff was added on top. Now you know! And knowing is half the battle...
So I hit the add to favorites button, then I look at your angry little avatar and it reads "Don't forget to add a comment." Out of fear for my life...I added this comment. Cute drawing, love it!
