This reminds me of a scene from Wizards. I think it was called Wizards. It was animated back in the 70's and there were a couple of guys wearing gas masks. One was named Ed.

Wonderful boss fight. The first time I saw the "put your controller on the floor" scene blew me away.

I don't know if that was your intention, but this reminds me of Shinkawa's sketches for the game. Good job there - I keep trying to emulate his style with no success.

I must say that Mantis is one of my favourite characters from that game, which made me like this work even more.

And black and white has it charm too.
